Norwich PCN Neighbourhoods

Our Primary Care Network (PCN) is made up of four neighbourhoods, these are North Norwich, Central Norwich, East Norwich and West Norwich. OneNorwich Practices (ONP) meets with practice managers and lead GPs from each neighbourhood on a monthly basis. The purpose of the meetings is to share and discuss PCN and strategy, updates about PCN services and the impact they are having on practices and patients. Within each meeting is the opportunity for PCN colleagues to benchmark the contractual position, raise concerns, make suggestions and ask questions of colleagues. The meeting also provides an opportunity for guest speakers from across the local system to keep colleagues informed of new services.

The core themes of the PCN Neighbourhood meetings are aligned to the guidance in the NHS Long Term Plan and the Network DES. This means that the content of the meetings, as well as being open to suggestions from attendees, focuses on development of the PCN and the core requirements for service delivery.

The structure of the meetings was redesigned in Q2 21/22 based on the feedback of PCN colleagues so that the agenda items are more clearly linked to the aims and goals of the PCN. This has the added benefit that development can be more closely interrogated and shared understanding can be better achieved. All neighbourhoods now additionally have access to minutes from each of the other neighbourhoods’ meetings on TeamNet to promote equity and transparency.
